Prayer Vigil of Easter Weekend
The Worship and Music Committee hopes to observe a marathon Prayer Vigil in the nave, if we have enough interest. The vigil
would begin at the conclusion of our Good Friday Tenebrae Service till sunrise Easter Day and will require at least one person
in the nave at all times. There are many ways to be "in an attitude of prayer." You can come alone, with your spouse, your family,
or a friend.
If you are willing to be present in the nave for a half an hour to hour, during the vigil, please contact Vicar Craig or signup
on the bulletin board.
Mission of Hope Luncheon
A Mission of Hope luncheon is being provided and served by the Intern Committee on Thursday, 20 March 2008. Holy Redeemer's
Outreach Committee recently committed to serving lunch at Mission of Hope every 3rd Thursday of the month for the remainder of the
year.
If you'd like to be involved, or you'd like your group to provide and serve one month, please contact a member of the Outreach Committee.
Please see Mission of Hope (in our Ministries section) for more
information about Mission of Hope and how you can help.
April Adult Class
A new Adult Class topic, led by Vicar Craig, will begin 6 April 2008. The April Adult Class will watch the movie,
"March of the Penguins." Come take the trek of a lifetime with our feathered friends. Each week we will watch a little bit of the
movie and discuss similar life issues we encounter on our life's journey. See Vicar Craig for more details.
Financial Workshop
Stop living paycheck to paycheck! Make plans to join us on Sunday, 20 April 2008 for the beginning of Financial Peace University
presented on DVD by nationally syndicated radio talk show host Dave Ramsey and facilitated by Vicar Craig.
Seventy percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, drifting through their financial life without a plan. Most don't have
enough cash to cover even the smallest emergency. It doesn't have to be this way. Financial Peace University is a 12-week study created
to help people just like you get out of debt, save and invest, and make a budget that really works. This is a fast-paced, fun program
with a Christian perspective that absolutely works. The average family pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 in the first 91 days!
You can check out a short promotional video at:
http://www.daveramsey.com/fpu/church/. Please make plans to join
us on 20 April 2008.
