Building Dedication

It's hard to imagine referring to our Building Dedication as old news, but indeed a month has passed since this very exciting event in Holy Redeemer's history.

Thanks from Pastor Brenda: Many thanks to all who made our 3 May Dedication celebration such a wonderful event! The Dedication Day Committee worked diligently ... the musicians and worship participants rehearsed extensively ... all who helped with the prep in any way went above and beyond ... and Jan, Susan, and Ron outdid themselves making sure all was in order for the day! Thanks to all the volunteers who helped clean, etc.

Also, special thanks to Wilma Clausen, DeAnna Braun, and Karen Godecke for their work on the special white altar frontal we used. The idea and design came from Karen, the pieces of cloth came from our members, and the labor came from these three ladies. What a wonderful addition to our celebration. THANKS!

Stewardship Fair

A well-attended, enjoyable Stewardship/Ministry Fair was held Sunday, 17 May 2009. Each committee/group had a table setup to represent their group. Friendly rivalry among the groups meant goodies and giveaways for all who attended.

999 Balloons!?! One such competition was the Stewardship Committee's invitation to to guess how many balloons fit in the sacristy with a prize going to the person who guessed closest without going over. Thank you to all who participated; you had many good guesses. In fact, there were 1003 balloons. Connie Hansen won with a guess of 999. Congratulations Connie!
