House of Hope

House of Hope is located at 1744 2nd Ave SE in the beautiful historic district of Cedar Rapids. The House is ideally located; convenient to downtown and the bus line. This 5,000 square foot, 7 bedroom, 3 bath home seemed to be built just for House of Hope. A large living area, dining room, kitchen, and third family room makes community living comfortable. Our desire is to make House of Hope very "home-like" and welcoming. The home was purchased in November of 2001 and since that time, with the help of multiple volunteers, has been transformed from a great house into a beautiful home. The restore elegance of this home is an example of what the body of Christ can accomplish when it works together for the good of all. Hundreds of people poured hours of hard work into transforming the House of Hope into a place where just walking through the front door can take your breath away.

House of Hope is a Christian Discipleship Program. We have boarding for those women who need housing while participating in the program. Our facility is capable of boarding up to 10 women if needed. The program runs Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and has a 3-month duration.

The main mission of the House of Hope program is to empower women to become all that God intended them to be. In order for women to achieve this goal, we believe it is important to look at the entire person; body, soul and spirit. Therefore, at House of Hope we are purposeful in how we eat and exercise in order to maximize our mental and emotional health.
