Lutheran Vespers
The fourth-weekend special offering for October is Lutheran Vespers. Your prayers and gifts help
to stretch this radio broadcast across the country and, through satellites and CD mailings to
missionaries, around the world. Because you care, we can reach out with Walter Wangerin, Jr.'s
message of comfort and healing to young and old, churched and unchurched, in all walks of life.
Your help is needed to take full advantage of an opportunity to keep Lutheran Vespers strong. Some
very good friends of Lutheran Vespers have given $35,000, and challenged Lutheran Vespers to double
this gift through donations from other supporters. Their goal is to encourage others to help
preserve and enhance this unique ministry.
Lutheran Vespers is unique. It is the only radio broadcast of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
America - a vital tool for outreach and evangelism. As more and more radio stations replace their
teaching broadcasts with music programs, we feel more and more like "the voice of one crying in
the wilderness."
Lutheran Vespers can be heard each Sunday evening on WMT-600 AM radio from 9:30 to 10:00 pm.
