Souper Bowl of Caring
Bring an extra $1 (or more) to worship on Sunday, 23 January (and Saturday, 22 January). Our church
will be participating in the international effort to refocus the world's biggest football weekend into
a weekend of "loving God, loving our neighbor" known as the Souper Bowl of Caring.
The money collected at any one church isn't much, but this past year 12,762 congregations together
generated over $4.26 million. Equally important, participation shows young people that God can use
them to make a difference in the world. And with 128 million people watching the Super Bowl, think of
the potential dollars and witness!
All of the money collected is donated to a charity selected by the recipient - ours is given to the
ELCA World Hunger Fund.
